As much as I detest the cold and sad winter months, I agree with the fall season. I wouldn’t say I enjoy it, but there are some fun fashion pieces that come back every fall season. There are rain boots and booties; Comfortable sweaters and plush vests; And of course scarves and gloves. The fall season is also full of something else: deep tones and rich colors. Dark reds, burnt oranges, mustard yellows and browns dominate the color landscape this time of year. Although I love these colors, sometimes I want something a little more neutral. A neutral tone that looks good regardless of the season, is the gray. Whether it’s a light gray or a rich charcoal, gray is an impressive color that can be combined with almost anything.
So now that I have gray bags on my head, I spent some time this morning browsing the different boutiques online and this is what I found. A couple of favorites by Phillip Lim and Michael Kors.
Phillip Lim Pashli Satchel medium Leather Charcoal-$975
A classic. The Pashli is one of my favorite styles of backpacks of all time. I love the flap closure and the zippered braces. It’s absolutely gorgeous in this textured carbon grey!
Michael Kors Collection Leather Tote on slate $693
There’s something special in a classic, structured bag. Clean, simple lines will never go out of style. This is a bag that you don’t have to worry about going out of fashion or being outdated. It’s a bag for good. I also love that this bag is a little higher than width, which is perfect for any occasion, work, school or informal Sunday.
